Artwork

There is so much history and interesting architecture packed into these few blocks—just look up! And definitely, go inside. In my piece, I aimed to capture the essence of these buildings and give viewers a glimpse inside to show the innovative features they originally first offered. Along with the buildings, the other main character in my piece is the pigeon, the classic city icon that also gets overlooked. My hope is that this animation will inspire people to explore Fairlie-Poplar with fresh eyes, read into the area's history, all while enjoying some boba and naan from one of the modern day restaurants and shops down on the street.

Since 2008, Liliana has been freelancing as a designer, animator, and art director, first in NY and now in Atlanta. Her projects include anything animation from broadcast graphics to music tour visuals to medical explainers. All with her signature fun and a touch of “a lot going on.”
After moving to Atlanta, she dove back into illustration and started exploring murals. She uses all the colors, textured brushes, and her iPad to craft whimsical scenes inspired by her Colombian heritage and daily life. You’ll spot her favs, cityscapes, fruits, nature, and plenty of ice cream in her work. For her, creativity is all about bringing authenticity, joy, and playfulness to every project.
