Artwork
At the core of Petie's art is the distinctive use of black shades, layered intricately to manipulate their vibrancy. These shades and finishes serve as a powerful storytelling tool, contributing to the narratives within his artwork. Through the intricate compositions of black in the background layers alone, his canvas becomes a realm where stories come to life and take shape.
Petie's art goes beyond color; it embraces a deliberate minimalist approach to spacing. Singular, often centered subjects stand boldly against black backgrounds, creating visual impact and a sense of depth. It's as if the subjects emerge from the shadows to share their stories.
The driving force behind Petie's artistic growth is his insatiable thirst for research and knowledge. Each piece reflects the depth of exploration that fuels his creative process. His commitment to infusing diverse narratives, cultures, and history, adds profound meaning to his work, elevating it beyond visual expression alone.
