Instructor: Lia Guzman
Summary: In this course, each student will learn the basics of leather-working from Lia Guzman by fabricating their own hand-stitched leather wallet.
Description: This course will cover the following topics:
- Intro to material
- Following a pattern
- Cutting leather
- Hand Stitching
- Basic tool use (knives, awl, pricking iron, etc.)
- Monogramming/ Embossing
At the end of the class, each student will complete a hand-sewn leather wallet similar to what is shown in the picture.
Ticket Sales end two days before the event begins.
Please be prepared to supply a contact phone number in case of last-minute scheduling changes.
About the Instructor:
Lia Guzman’s father first introduced her to working with leather when she was a child. Though her career has taken many paths, she has returned in recent years to the tactile practices of leatherwork and ceramics both as a meditation on material and a connection to her native heritage.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Yes, please notify us before ticket sales end about any transfer of purchase.
What is the refund policy?
We will refund any ticket requested for any reason up to a week before the course runs, after that point we can only give credit to a future course. No call, No show cancellations cannot be refunded, as the ticket price will be paid out to the instructor for their time. If the class cannot run as scheduled, for whatever reason, the purchaser will have the option of a full refund or credit towards the makeup course.
Courses must sell a minimum of four tickets to run. If a course cannot sell four tickets, the students who have signed up will have the option to (a) reschedule (b) receive a full refund. This notification will be issued when ticket sales end, approximately 48 hours before the course.
